Nano Gas Environmental has been selected as one of seven startups to join the new Sustainable Water Tech Accelerator, launched by Chicago innovation hub mHUB and water-technology leader Current. The cohort kicked off early last week and is focused on advancing breakthrough solutions for industrial water challenges.
The accelerator combines mHUB’s hardtech commercialization platform with Current’s global water innovation network and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation–backed Great Lakes RENEW Engine. Together, these partners are building a pipeline of technologies that make industrial water use more efficient, circular, and resilient.
What This Means for Nano Gas
Strategic Support and Investment
As part of the cohort, Nano Gas will receive:
- Investment from mHUB Ventures
- $200,000 in cash and in-kind support
- Access to mHUB’s prototyping labs and equipment
- Connections to the Great Lakes RENEW coalition of 75+ partners across six states
- Specialized mentorship, pilot opportunities, and industry matchmaking
This support will help Nano Gas accelerate the commercialization of its nanobubble technology, using ultra-fine gas bubbles to clean contaminated water and recover valuable resources in industrial applications.
