The Automated Equipment Meets Multiple Industry Needs
Nano Gas™ Environmental has created a new generation of equipment to bring major financial and environmental benefits to three major markets: shallow facultative lagoons, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and produced water. The company designed different units to meet the unique needs of each market. The equipment will also adapt to other markets in the future.
The equipment produces Nano Gas™ Environmental’s patented nanobubbles. These balls of gas are 5,000 times smaller than a grain of sand and remain suspended in liquid to transform it biologically, chemically and physically. Nano Gas™ nanobubbles also offer class-leading scalability and do not plug when created using polluted water as competitors’ bubbles do. Because of this, they are the solution for customers needing to treat dirty water.
“The people in these markets deserve products designed to give them the results they’re looking for,” says Len Bland, Founder and CEO of Nano Gas Environmental. “So, we don’t give them a generic nanobubble generator and wish them luck. Instead, this new design gives us the ability to adapt our equipment to achieve their objectives.”
Advanced technology also makes it easier than ever to implement nanobubble treatment. “We’ve made it so simple that you can press a few buttons, set it and then forget it,” says Dave Shimp, the company’s COO. “The process is automated, which means you can plug, play and walk away.”
How the Custom Solutions Serve Different Markets
Nano Gas™ Environmental has designed its products to adapt to different variables for the markets it serves. As a result, the equipment solves customer problems with top-of-the-line nanobubble production capacity and gas, power and filter options. This easy-to-use automated technology operates from a fixed location or mobile platform.
A Complete Solution
Each of the markets Nano Gas™ Environmental serves needs different types and capacities of nanobubbles to solve its problems. For example, the units for EOR produce 45 gallons per minute (a little over a barrel) laden with nitrogen nanobubbles. When injected into an oil well, this high concentration of bubbles penetrates the smallest crevices and temporarily transforms the physical properties of the oil so that it floats to the surface of the well for extraction. Nano Gas™ Environmental has improved customers’ oil production by 540% as a result.
The produced water units also have the same 45-gallon per minute output but clean ten times the volume using both nitrogen and oxygen bubbles. The nitrogen bubbles separate the oil from the water for recovery, and the oxygen bubbles oxidize the polluted water to make it reusable again in the oil recovery process. Otherwise, this water is disposed of in hazardous and expensive saltwater disposal wells.
As for facultative lagoons, a small stream of concentrated nanobubbles treats a large body of water for both remediation and maintenance. The remediation unit concentrates 15 gallons of oxygen nanobubbles to grow bacteria that consume sludge and algae in the lagoon. This process cleans the lagoon in a matter of weeks. Conversely, the maintenance unit produces three gallons of concentrated air nanobubbles to keep the lagoon from becoming overrun again. This whole process is 80-85% less expensive and much less disruptive than a typical multi-million-dollar dredging operation. The dredging operation requires shutting down and draining the pond while the Nano Gas™ process enables continued operation.
Power and Mobility
Each of the units also has a power source and fixed or mobile frame to match its market’s unique requirements. For example, EOR units can be mobile or fixed depending on if the customer wants to move the unit from well site to well site or supply nanobubbles to multiple wells from one central location. The mobile EOR unit has an onboard generator for power while the fixed unit gets its power externally.
Similarly, the units for facultative lagoon remediation and maintenance also differ in this regard. The remediation system is mobile with a generator because it only requires short-term usage to clean the lagoon. On the other hand, the maintenance unit has a fixed frame and external generator because its purpose is to provide ongoing treatment.
Produced water systems are all fixed with external power because they provide ongoing water treatment.
Fully Automated
Nano Gas™ Environmental’s new products are user-friendly because they’re entirely automated. The equipment runs on its own once in place with minimal need for human labor. The customer focuses on other tasks, knowing that the system is taking care of its water treatment and/or oil production needs. The results are continually accessible or downloaded through an internet or SMS/cell phone connection. The system also sends a warning if anything starts to go wrong followed by an automatic shutdown and alarm message if something breaks down or malfunctions.
The New Products are an Eco-Friendly Way to Make More Money!
Nano Gas™ Environmental is excited to bring this new equipment to the companies and communities that desperately need it. The custom solutions will save rural communities money, help oil and gas companies become more profitable and do it all with effective and eco-friendly technology.
